The domain

In the 1950s, Roger Burgaud divided his time between working in the factory and on the farm. Passionate about wine and vineyard work, he bought and replanted some beautiful plots of land in the prestigious Côte-Rôtie region. In 1980, Bernard, the founder, finally settled down and reoriented the family farm towards wine production. The Burgaud estate, with this generation of winegrowers who embody the revival of the Côte-Rôtie, was born. When others were focusing on expansionist and marketing trends, Bernard directed his energy to mastering his know-how and continuing the quality of his production. In 2020, Pierre, his son, took over the estate. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

The wine

This wine displays spicy and fruity characters (cooked berries, raspberries and blackberries), the typical expression of the Syrah grape of Côte-Rôtie. Accessible and powerful at the same time, a nice way to learn about the wines of this terroir.
