Formerly Clos Bel-Air, the origins of Château Fleur Cardinale date back to 1819. There were already parcels of vines where the current winery is located. It is to Mr Jean-Louis Obissier, son of the mayor of Villerouge-Termènes, who bought the Clos Bel-Air in 1975, that we owe the current name of Château Fleur Cardinale. The Obissier family owned racehorses that bore the names Fleur and Cardinale. Their use is a tribute. In 1982, conquered by the quality of life and the welcome given by the whole profession, a former porcelain maker from Limoges and company director, Dominique Decoster, took over the reins of the Château with his wife Florence. Today they are well supported by experienced advisors: an agricultural engineer, an oenologist and a general consultant for the estate, Jean-Luc Thuvenin, their neighbour and owner of Château Valandraud; their son and his partner are responsible for ensuring the continuity of the family business.
This wine has a strong character and three qualities: presence, power and harmony. Its colour is intense with a very interesting bouquet reminiscent of black fruits, game and fur notes.
