The domain

The Montille domain was founded in the 1750s by Etienne de Montille. Hubert de Montille, his grandson, changed the direction of the domain when he took it over: he produced his own wines and stopped selling to wine merchants. In a few decades, it became one of the finest references in the region, expressing the terroir of each climate through pure and elegant wines. Today managed by Etienne and Alix de Montille, Hubert's children, the domain has 20 hectares of vines (15 of which are Grand Cru and Premier Cru), with wines produced in biodynamics.

The wine

The 1er cru Taillepieds is located halfway up the hillside, thus enjoying a perfect exposure. The pebbles that cut the feet of the winegrowers gave it this name. This wine has floral and fruity aromas (cherry and red fruit) with a mineral touch. It goes well with roasted poultry and high gastronomy dishes.
