The domain

Founded in the early 1950s, the Jamet estate was mainly fruit trees until the Côte-Rôtie region began a revival in the 1970s. After selling the production to local merchants, Joseph Jamet bottled his first crop in 1976. The domain has since been managed by his son Jean-Paul and his wife Corinne, with their son Loïc. The 11 hectares of the domain are spread over 16 parcels, including the famous Côte Brune.

The wine

Cultivated on steep slopes and arranged in terraces commonly called "chayets", the vines grow on a subsoil essentially composed of schist and to a lesser extent granite. The cuvée is made from twenty different plots, representing the terroirs of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. Through this cuvée, the domain expresses its will to create a fruity (black and red fruits) and juicy wine with spicy notes, endowed with a good ageing potential.
