The domain

Founded by Yannick Amirault in 1977 after he took over his grandfather's vineyards, he bought the vineyards of two retiring winegrowers some fifteen years later. He acquired one of the most emblematic terroirs of Bourgueil, Le Grand Clos, and took the measure of what his line of conduct would be: abandoning all weed killers and returning to traditional barrel ageing in place of the commonplace stainless steel. Rigor, authenticity and perfectionism are still today the key words of the Amirault family.

The wine

La Petite Cave is a reflection of its terroir: unfiltered, it is a rich and smooth wine, with a certain tension, a beautiful juice, great depth and density. Paired with veal chops en papillote or a leg of lamb in the oven, this will make a delicious meal.
