The domain

The first parcels of this estate located in the heart of the Loire Valley go back to 1634. The current configuration of the vineyard is due to Jean Baumard. He has been the first one in the region to plant on both sides of the river. Since then, his son took over the activity and keep an eye on their forty hectares. He makes good use of the expertise his father transmitted him to sublimate the expression of the terroir.

The wine

The appellation Quarts-de-Chaume is the most famous of the Loire Valley and without a doubt a true emblem of this ancient region. The terroir benefits from an exceptional and particularly favorable climate. The wine is perfectly balanced in terms of sugar, alcohol, and acidity. The nose gives a floral bouquet with fruity notes of apricot, orange, and apple. It is ideal at the aperitif with toasts of foie gras, or at the end of the diner with a platter of blue cheeses or a poached pears dessert.
