The Domaine

Jean-Michel Gérin bought his first Côte-rôtie parcel in 1983 and annexed four years later the vines of his father Alfred and grandfather Marcel. The family estate is located in Ampuis, in the north of the Rhone Valley. Nowadays, the sons of the sixth generation Michaël and Alexis continue to run the domaine following traditional practices. The exploitation has been built brick by brick overtime and the surface area is now of 17 hectares in France and Spain. In 2020, the two brothers took the praiseworthy decision to progressively transition to organic agriculture.

The wine

The wine shows a brilliant color. You must taste it with considerable attention to appreciate its light aromas of red and dark fruits enhanced by a hint of caramel. It is pleasant and sweet in mouth, with a supple attack and fresh finish. Thanks to the presence of the viognier varietal in this cuvée stemming from young vines, you can enjoy the bottle right away. We advise you to pair it with a Rossini Chateaubriand or mature duck from La Tour d’Argent.
