The domain

Classified growth in 1855, we find the first mention of a Doisy growth in the "Topography of all known vineyards" written by André Jullien in 1832. The name of the chateau is the result of the addition of the name of its owner, Jean-Jacques-Emmanuel Daëne, a Bordeaux wine merchant, to the Doisy cru. Today, the fourth generation of Dubourdieu continues the family work.

The wine

A wine of a beautiful transparency, with a beautiful complexity of aromas: a bouquet with perfumes of white flowers, candied fruits, wax and honey. In the mouth, after an elegant attack, it achieves a nice balance between liquor and vivacity. Notes of citrus and spices. This wine goes well with foie gras or cannelés (to remain in the regional specialties).
