The domain

The castle of Tracy stands on a rocky spur overlooking the Loire River, in a commune that bears its name. A parchment of 1396 attests that vines were already cultivated on the lands of the château de Tracy. In the 15th century, Charles VII gave the lordship of Assay to the Scottish Stutt family. One of their descendants married the lady of Tracy, and in the XVIIIth century, the domain of the castle of Tracy was the property of Antoine Louis Claude d'Estutt. At the end of the 19th century, Jacques de Tracy took over the vineyard and carried out the first bottling of Château de Tracy. He markets his wines, Pouilly Fumé, in France and in Russia. Jacqueline de Tracy inherited the family property in 1948 and married Count Alain d'Assay in 1950. They decided to restore the vineyard of the Château de Tracy. Later, Juliette d'Assay and her four children took over the management of the family business.

The wine

A pale gold color with green reflections. A very pure Sauvignon nose, floral notes (blackcurrant buds, fresh boxwood) associated with citrus fruits (grapefruit, ripe lemon, blood orange). A mouth full of freshness, with delicate acidulous flavors.
